AladdinStores provides a global marketplace for antiques, collectibles, and vintage goods. To maintain trust, legality, and transparency for both Buyers and Sellers, Vendors offering these items must comply with this Policy. This Policy forms part of the AladdinStores Terms of Use.
Definitions
- Antiques → Items typically 100 years or older. Items with exceptional historical or artisanal significance may also qualify, even if under 100 years old.
- Collectibles → Items valued and sought after by collectors due to rarity, popularity, cultural association, or historical importance. Examples include stamps, coins, toys, comics, memorabilia, and limited-edition goods.
- Vintage Items → Items that are at least 20 years old.
- Deadstock refers to vintage clothing or accessories that have never been worn and were never sold to the public.
Seller Obligations
Sellers must provide accurate, complete, and transparent information when listing antiques, collectibles, or vintage items, including:- Provenance → Documented origin or ownership history.
- Authenticity → Certificates, expert appraisals, or credible verification (if available).
- Condition → Clear disclosure of wear, restorations, or alterations.
- Rarity → Context on how rare the item is within its category.
- Photographs → Detailed, high-quality photos of labels, signatures, hallmarks, or other identifying features.
Vintage Item Requirements
For items listed as “vintage,” Sellers may be asked to provide:- Item origin and sourcing method.
- Estimated age with explanation of how this was determined.
- Designer, brand, and collection (if known).
- Material details (e.g., fabric type, hardware, labels, trims). 👉Not valid as proof of vintage status:
- “The item was inherited from a relative over 20 years ago.”
- “Another seller is offering the same item.”
- “The item was bought at an estate or yard sale.”
Prohibited Listings
The following are strictly prohibited and may be removed without notice:- Stolen goods or looted cultural artifacts.
- Items restricted under cultural heritage or import/export laws.
- Nazi propaganda, hate symbols, or extremist material (even if considered “historical”).
- Counterfeit items, forgeries, or misleading reproductions.
Legal Compliance & Platform Oversight
- Sellers are responsible for complying with all local, national, and international laws governing antiques, collectibles, and vintage goods.
- AladdinStores may request documentation, reject listings, or remove items without notice if they violate this Policy or applicable laws.
- Repeated or serious violations may result in Seller suspension or termination.
Buyer Responsibility & Disclaimer
- Buyers are strongly encouraged to conduct independent research and request verification from Sellers before making a purchase.
- While AladdinStores verifies Sellers and may request documentation, we do not guarantee the authenticity, legality, or condition of every item sold on the Platform.
- AladdinStores acts solely as a facilitator of transactions. We do not own inventory, and we are not liable for illegal or fraudulent transactions conducted between Buyers and Sellers.
