1. What types of auctions can I participate in on AladdinStores?
AladdinStores currently supports:
• Standard (Ascending) Auctions – price increases as buyers place higher bids.
• Reserve Price Auctions – seller sets a hidden minimum price that must be reached for the item to be sold.
Note: Dutch (descending) auctions are not automated or supported by default.

2. Do I need a verified account to bid?
Yes. You must:
• Have a verified AladdinStores account
• Have no major payment disputes
• Accept the Auction & Competitive Bidding Policy
Only then you can place bids.

3. How do I receive notifications when an auction is ending?
Enable auction alerts by:
1. Logging into your Buyer Account.
2. Going to Auctions Settings.
3. Checking “Get email notification for my auctions ending soon.”
4. Clicking Save changes.
This ensures you get reminders before an auction ends.

4. How do I find auction products?
You can browse or search normally. Auction items will show:
• Current Bid
• Time Remaining
• Auction label
• A note such as “Reserve not met” (if applicable)
Open the product page to see full details.

5. How do I place a bid?
1. Open the auction product page.
2. Scroll to the bidding area.
3. Review:
o Current highest bid
o Minimum next bid
o Bid increment
o Auction end time
o Reserve status
4. Enter your bid amount.
5. Click Place Bid and confirm.
Important: All bids are binding. Only bid if you are willing to pay if you win.

6. What is auto-bidding (proxy bidding)?
If enabled on a listing:
• You can set a maximum limit.
• The system automatically bids for you in small increments until your limit is reached.

7. What is anti-sniping?
If enabled:
• The auction time may automatically extend when a bid is placed in the final seconds.
• This prevents last-second “sniping.”

8. How can I track my active bids?
Go to your Buyer Dashboard and check:
• My Auctions
• My Bids
• Bid History
You’ll see:
• Whether you’re the highest bidder
• Reserve price status
• Time remaining
• Auction status (Won / Lost / Active / Closed)

9. How do I know if I won an auction?
You win if:
• You’re the highest valid bidder, and
• The reserve price (if any) is met.
You will receive:
• An in-dashboard notification
• An email notification
The item will appear in Orders or Pending Payment.

10. How do I pay after winning an auction?
Complete payment using any available checkout method:
• Card
• PayPal
• Bank Transfer
• Other region-specific payment options
After payment:
• The seller ships/delivers the product.
• You can track it in your Orders page.
For high-value items (real estate, vehicles, gold, yachts, commodities), secure methods like escrow may be required.

11. What happens if I don’t win?
If you are outbid or the reserve is not met:
• The auction status will show Lost, Closed, or Reserve Not Met.
• No payment will be taken.

12. Can I cancel or withdraw my bid?
No. Bid withdrawals are not allowed.
All bids are binding under the Auction & Competitive Bidding Policy.

13. What behaviors are prohibited in auctions?
These actions are strictly forbidden:
Shill bidding (bidding to raise the price artificially)
• Bid manipulation or collusion
• Non-payment after winning
• False claims or abuseViolators may face:
• Suspension of auction privileges
• Account termination
• Possible legal action (in severe cases)

14. What if the seller does not deliver the item I won?
Open a case through the AladdinStores Resolution Center.
Refunds will follow:
• The Return & Refund Policy
• Any category-specific rules (especially for luxury and high-value assets)

15. Tips for winning more auctions
• Enable auction email alerts
• Decide your maximum budget before bidding
• Read all item details carefully
• Check seller ratings
• Pay attention to time zones
• Bid early, but also consider a strong final bid near the end
