AladdinStores is committed to maintaining a safe, lawful, trustworthy and responsible global online marketplace.

This Prohibited & Restricted Products Policy (“Policy”) explains the products, services, listings, transactions and activities that are prohibited, restricted, conditionally permitted or subject to additional requirements on AladdinStores.

This Policy applies to all AladdinStores users, including sellers, buyers, businesses, service providers, professionals, wholesalers, auction participants, Partners and other marketplace participants.

It applies across the AladdinStores Marketplace, authorized AladdinStores services and applicable subdomains.

This Policy forms part of the AladdinStores Terms & Conditions and should be read together with the Seller Terms & Conditions, Seller Policy and other applicable AladdinStores policies.

A product or service being legal in one country does not automatically mean that it is permitted on AladdinStores or legal to sell, purchase, advertise, import, export or deliver in another country.

AladdinStores may impose marketplace restrictions that are stricter than local law.

1. Purpose of This Policy

The purpose of this Policy is to protect buyers, sellers, AladdinStores and the wider community by preventing AladdinStores from being used for unlawful, dangerous, deceptive, harmful or otherwise prohibited commerce.

The Policy also identifies categories that may be sold only where specific legal, regulatory, safety, verification or marketplace requirements are satisfied.

2. Who Must Follow This Policy

This Policy applies to all marketplace participants.

It applies regardless of whether an item or service is offered through:

a standard product listing;
seller storefront;
digital product listing;
customized product listing;
service listing;
booking;
auction;
wholesale listing;
B2B transaction;
RFQ;
vehicle listing;
real estate listing;
promotional listing;
advertisement; or
any other AladdinStores marketplace feature.

3. Seller Responsibility

Sellers are responsible for determining whether their products and services may legally and contractually be offered through AladdinStores.

Sellers must comply with:

the laws of their own country;
laws applicable where the product or service is offered;
laws applicable to buyers where required;
import and export laws;
customs regulations;
product-safety requirements;
licensing requirements;
intellectual-property laws;
consumer-protection laws;
advertising laws;
AladdinStores policies.

Sellers must obtain all required licences, registrations, certificates, approvals and permissions before listing regulated products.

AladdinStores’ acceptance of a listing does not constitute legal advice or regulatory approval.

4. AladdinStores’ Right to Restrict Products

AladdinStores may prohibit or restrict a product, service, seller, category, transaction, destination or marketplace activity where reasonably necessary for:

legal compliance;
marketplace safety;
consumer protection;
fraud prevention;
payment-provider requirements;
banking requirements;
shipping restrictions;
insurance requirements;
reputational protection;
marketplace integrity; or
operational reasons.

AladdinStores may impose restrictions that are stricter than the laws of a particular jurisdiction.

5. Illegal Products and Services

Any product, service or activity that is illegal under applicable law is prohibited.

Users must not use AladdinStores to facilitate criminal activity or transactions involving illegally obtained goods.

6. Weapons, Firearms, Ammunition and Explosives

AladdinStores prohibits unauthorized or prohibited weapons and related products.

Prohibited products include, where applicable:

firearms;
guns;
ammunition;
explosives;
bombs;
grenades;
explosive devices;
illegal weapon components;
prohibited firearm conversion devices;
illegal silencers;
prohibited military weapons;
weapons designed or modified for unlawful purposes.

Other weapons or potentially dangerous products may also be prohibited or restricted depending on their nature and applicable law.

AladdinStores may prohibit a weapon even where private ownership may be lawful in a particular jurisdiction.

7. Drugs, Controlled Substances and Drug-Related Products

AladdinStores prohibits:

illegal drugs;
narcotics;
controlled substances sold without lawful authorization;
recreational drugs prohibited by applicable law;
synthetic illegal drugs;
drug-production materials where prohibited;
products primarily intended to facilitate unlawful drug consumption;
products falsely marketed as legal substitutes for illegal drugs.

Prescription and regulated medicines are subject to Section 10.

8. Alcohol, Pork and Non-Halal Meat

As an AladdinStores marketplace policy, the following categories are prohibited:

alcoholic beverages;
products sold primarily as consumable alcohol;
pork;
pork meat;
prohibited pork-derived food products;
non-halal meat.

AladdinStores may establish additional food standards or restrictions.

Sellers must not attempt to avoid these restrictions by intentionally miscategorizing products.

9. Tobacco, Nicotine and Vaping Products

Tobacco, nicotine and vaping products may be prohibited or restricted by AladdinStores depending on applicable marketplace rules and law.

This may include:

cigarettes;
cigars;
tobacco;
electronic cigarettes;
vaping devices;
vaping liquids;
nicotine liquids;
nicotine products.

Where AladdinStores does not expressly authorize a regulated tobacco or nicotine category, sellers must not list it.

10. Medicines, Medical Products and Healthcare Items

Medicines and medical products may be highly regulated.

Sellers must not list:

prescription medicines without authorization;
controlled medicines without authorization;
unlicensed medicines;
counterfeit medicines;
expired medicines;
recalled medicines;
illegally imported medicines;
products making unlawful medical claims.

Certain legally permitted non-prescription healthcare products may be allowed subject to applicable laws and AladdinStores requirements.

Medical devices may require appropriate regulatory approvals, certification, labeling and seller authorization.

11. Supplements, Cosmetics and Beauty Products

Legitimate supplements, cosmetics, skincare, haircare, fragrances and beauty products may be permitted where lawful.

Sellers must ensure products are:

genuine;
safe;
properly labeled;
within expiry dates where applicable;
lawfully marketed;
appropriately registered where required;
stored and shipped correctly.

Sellers must not make false, misleading or unlawful health or medical claims.

Counterfeit cosmetics, unsafe cosmetics and prohibited substances are not permitted.

12. Hazardous Materials, Chemicals and Dangerous Goods

Products involving hazardous materials may be prohibited or restricted.

Examples include:

dangerous chemicals;
toxic substances;
certain pesticides;
radioactive materials;
prohibited laboratory materials;
explosive precursors;
highly flammable materials;
biological hazards;
other regulated dangerous goods.

Where lawful products are subject to dangerous-goods shipping requirements, sellers must comply with all applicable transportation, packaging, labeling and carrier requirements.

13. Stolen Goods and Property

Stolen property is strictly prohibited.

Users must not list goods that they know or reasonably should know are stolen, unlawfully obtained or subject to unauthorized possession.

AladdinStores may request proof of ownership for high-risk or high-value products.

14. Counterfeit, Replica and Unauthorized Goods

Counterfeit products are prohibited.

This includes products falsely using another party’s:

trademark;
brand;
logo;
packaging;
authenticity documentation;
serial number;
certification.

Sellers must not describe counterfeit products using wording such as:

“replica”;
“mirror copy”;
“AAA copy”;
“1:1 copy”;
“fake designer”;
“inspired copy”

where the product unlawfully uses protected intellectual property or is otherwise designed to deceive buyers.

Lawful unbranded products may be sold provided they do not infringe third-party rights or mislead buyers.

15. Intellectual Property Infringement

Products, services and content infringing:

copyrights;
trademarks;
patents;
designs;
publicity rights;
image rights;
other intellectual-property rights

are prohibited.

16. Adult, Sexual and Explicit Products or Services

AladdinStores may prohibit or restrict adult and sexually explicit products and services.

Prohibited content includes:

illegal pornography;
sexual exploitation;
sexual services;
content involving minors;
non-consensual sexual material;
sexually exploitative content;
illegal obscene material.

AladdinStores may impose broader marketplace restrictions on adult products even where such products are lawful in some jurisdictions.

17. Human Exploitation and Illegal Services

Strictly prohibited activities include:

human trafficking;
forced labor;
slavery;
sexual exploitation;
sale or purchase of persons;
illegal adoption services;
trafficking-related recruitment;
exploitation of minors;
other unlawful exploitation.

18. Gambling, Betting and Games of Chance

AladdinStores prohibits gambling and betting services unless expressly authorized by AladdinStores and permitted by applicable law.

Prohibited activities include unauthorized:

casinos;
betting;
sports betting;
lottery tickets;
gambling accounts;
gambling credits;
wagering services.

AladdinStores currently prohibits unlawful gambling-related marketplace activity.

19. Financial Products, Money and Investment Schemes

AladdinStores is primarily a marketplace for products and services and must not be used to offer unauthorized regulated financial products.

Prohibited or restricted offerings may include:

unauthorized loans;
securities;
investment contracts;
illegal fundraising schemes;
Ponzi schemes;
pyramid schemes;
money-laundering services;
fraudulent investment opportunities;
unlicensed financial services.

Legitimate professional financial services may only be offered where AladdinStores permits the category and the provider holds all required authorization.

20. Cryptocurrency and Digital Assets

Cryptocurrency, tokens, NFTs and other digital assets may be subject to financial, securities, consumer-protection and anti-money-laundering regulation.

AladdinStores does not permit users to use ordinary product listings to circumvent applicable financial regulation.

Unauthorized:

cryptocurrency sales;
token offerings;
investment schemes;
crypto exchange services;
financial promotions

may be prohibited.

AladdinStores may introduce specialized rules if digital-asset services are offered in the future.

21. Gift Cards, Stored Value and Financial Instruments

Gift cards, vouchers, stored-value products, prepaid financial products and similar instruments may be restricted because of fraud and financial-regulatory risks.

Sellers must not list such products unless the category is expressly permitted by AladdinStores.

22. Personal Data, Accounts and Identification Documents

Users must not sell or trade:

stolen personal information;
customer databases obtained unlawfully;
passwords;
compromised accounts;
banking credentials;
credit-card information;
government identification documents;
passports;
driver’s licences;
social-security or national identification information;
forged documents;
login credentials;
hacked accounts.

Legitimate personalized document-related services must not create false official documents or facilitate identity fraud.

23. Surveillance, Hacking and Cybersecurity Products

Products or services primarily designed to facilitate unauthorized access, spying, credential theft, cybercrime or unlawful surveillance are prohibited.

Examples may include:

malware;
ransomware;
credential-stealing software;
unauthorized hacking tools;
phishing kits;
stolen account access;
spyware designed for unlawful surveillance.

Legitimate cybersecurity products and professional services may be permitted where lawful and not intended to facilitate abuse.

24. Illegal Digital Products and Software

Digital products must be lawful.

Prohibited digital products include:

malware;
viruses;
ransomware;
pirated software;
stolen software keys;
unauthorized activation keys;
hacked accounts;
stolen digital accounts;
tools designed primarily to facilitate illegal activity.

25. Copyrighted Digital Content

Sellers must possess the necessary rights to distribute:

ebooks;
music;
photographs;
videos;
software;
templates;
courses;
graphics;
digital artwork;
documents;
other digital content.

Unauthorized copies are prohibited.

26. Animals, Wildlife and Animal Products

Listings involving animals or wildlife may be prohibited or restricted.

Users must not list products involving:

protected wildlife;
endangered species where trade is prohibited;
illegal ivory;
illegally obtained animal products;
products violating wildlife-trade laws.

Live-animal sales may be prohibited or restricted by AladdinStores.

27. Food and Beverage Products

Lawful food and beverage products may be permitted subject to applicable laws and AladdinStores requirements.

Sellers may be required to comply with:

food-business licensing;
health requirements;
ingredient disclosure;
allergen labeling;
halal requirements where applicable;
expiry-date requirements;
storage requirements;
temperature controls;
packaging standards;
import/export requirements.

Alcohol, pork and non-halal meat remain prohibited under Section 8.

28. Plants, Seeds and Agricultural Products

Plants, seeds, fertilizers and agricultural products may be permitted where lawful.

Restricted products may include:

invasive species;
prohibited seeds;
illegal pesticides;
regulated plant material;
protected plants;
products restricted by quarantine or agricultural law.

Cross-border agricultural products may require permits or phytosanitary documentation.

29. Vehicles

Vehicles may be listed where permitted and subject to applicable verification and marketplace requirements.

Sellers must have lawful authority to sell the vehicle and must not knowingly conceal material information.

Prohibited vehicle listings include:

stolen vehicles;
vehicles with falsified identification numbers;
vehicles with forged ownership documentation;
illegally imported vehicles;
materially fraudulent vehicle listings.

30. Auto Parts and Accessories

Auto parts and accessories may generally be sold where lawful.

Prohibited or restricted items may include:

stolen parts;
counterfeit safety parts;
illegally modified safety equipment;
parts whose sale is prohibited by applicable law;
fraudulent branded parts.

Sellers must accurately describe compatibility, condition and safety-related information.

31. Real Estate

Eligible real estate may be advertised subject to applicable laws and AladdinStores requirements.

Prohibited listings include:

properties the seller or advertiser has no authority to offer;
fraudulent properties;
intentionally false locations;
fake ownership claims;
unlawful discriminatory listings;
properties marketed through fraudulent investment schemes.

AladdinStores may require ownership, agency or authorization documentation.

32. Jewelry, Precious Metals and Gemstones

Jewelry, watches, gemstones and precious-metal products may be permitted.

Sellers must accurately disclose material characteristics such as:

metal type;
purity;
gemstone type;
authenticity;
treatment where material;
condition;
certification where claimed.

Counterfeit branded jewelry and fraudulent precious-metal products are prohibited.

33. Luxury and High-Value Products

Luxury products may include:

designer fashion;
luxury watches;
jewelry;
gemstones;
collectibles;
premium electronics;
artwork;
high-value goods.

Counterfeit luxury goods are strictly prohibited.

AladdinStores may require additional verification, proof of ownership, authenticity information, insured shipping or other transaction safeguards.

34. Industrial, Commercial and Agricultural Equipment

Legitimate industrial, business, commercial and agricultural products may be sold where lawful.

This may include:

machinery;
equipment;
manufacturing products;
tools;
business equipment;
commercial equipment;
agricultural machinery;
farming equipment;
spare parts.

Restricted products may include regulated machinery, hazardous materials, controlled technology, prohibited chemicals or products requiring special export authorization.

35. Product Safety and Recalled Products

Sellers must not knowingly sell:

officially recalled products that may not legally be resold;
dangerously defective products;
products failing mandatory safety requirements;
products subject to prohibited safety notices;
unsafe counterfeit components.

Sellers must cooperate with legitimate safety recalls and corrective actions.

36. Children’s Products

Children’s products must comply with applicable safety requirements.

This may include rules concerning:

toys;
children’s furniture;
clothing;
baby products;
feeding products;
safety equipment;
age labeling;
choking hazards;
chemical safety.

Unsafe or recalled children’s products are prohibited.

37. Government, Military and Official Items

Government, military, police or official items may be restricted where their sale could:

violate law;
facilitate impersonation;
compromise security;
involve stolen government property;
involve controlled military technology.

Forged government documents and unauthorized official identification are prohibited.

38. Cultural Heritage and Archaeological Items

Cultural, historical, archaeological, religious and antiquity items may be subject to ownership, export and heritage laws.

Sellers must not list illegally excavated, stolen, trafficked or unlawfully exported cultural property.

AladdinStores may require provenance or ownership documentation.

39. Sanctioned and Restricted Trade

Users must comply with applicable:

sanctions;
trade restrictions;
export controls;
import restrictions;
anti-money-laundering requirements.

Users must not knowingly use AladdinStores to facilitate transactions prohibited by applicable sanctions or trade laws.

AladdinStores may block transactions, destinations, accounts or products where legally required.

40. Services and Professional Services

Services must be lawful and appropriate for the marketplace.

Prohibited services include those facilitating:

crime;
fraud;
hacking;
document forgery;
academic fraud where prohibited;
human exploitation;
illegal financial activity;
violence;
other unlawful conduct.

Professional services requiring licences may only be offered by appropriately authorized providers where required.

41. Freelance Services

Freelance services may be offered where permitted.

Providers must not offer services involving:

illegal hacking;
fraudulent reviews;
identity theft;
forged documents;
deceptive impersonation;
unlawful data acquisition;
copyright infringement;
other illegal activities.

42. Bookable Services

Bookable services must be lawful, accurately described and provided by appropriately qualified or licensed persons where required.

Services involving illegal activity, exploitation, prohibited medical treatment or other prohibited conduct are not permitted.

43. Customized and Personalized Products

Customized products may be permitted provided the underlying product and requested customization comply with AladdinStores policies.

Sellers must reject customization requests involving:

illegal content;
unlawful hate or threatening content;
unauthorized copyrighted or trademarked material;
forged official documents;
fraudulent identification;
other prohibited content.

44. Auctions

Products prohibited elsewhere under this Policy remain prohibited when offered through an auction.

An auction format does not exempt a seller from product, safety, licensing, authenticity or legal requirements.

45. Wholesale, B2B and RFQ Transactions

Wholesale, B2B and RFQ transactions remain subject to this Policy.

Large quantities do not make a prohibited product permissible.

Businesses must comply with applicable:

commercial laws;
import/export laws;
licensing;
product standards;
sanctions;
customs;
industry regulations.

46. Misleading Listings and False Claims

Listings must not contain materially false or deceptive claims.

Prohibited practices include:

false authenticity claims;
false certifications;
fake safety approvals;
fake medical claims;
false country-of-origin claims;
misleading photographs;
hidden material defects;
false brand affiliations;
deceptive pricing;
fake scarcity;
intentionally incorrect product categories.

47. Products Requiring Licences or Approvals

Certain products may only be listed by sellers holding required authorization.

These may include categories involving:

food;
cosmetics;
medical products;
regulated chemicals;
professional services;
real estate;
vehicles;
financial services;
agricultural products;
other regulated products.

AladdinStores may request documentation at any time.

Failure to provide satisfactory documentation may result in listing removal or account restrictions.

48. Cross-Border Sales, Customs and Import Restrictions

Sellers offering products internationally must consider both the origin and destination country’s requirements.

A product permitted in the seller’s country may be prohibited from import into the buyer’s country.

Sellers and buyers are responsible for applicable:

customs requirements;
import restrictions;
export controls;
duties;
permits;
certifications;
product standards.

AladdinStores may restrict international shipping for certain products.

49. Advertising Prohibited or Restricted Products

A product that cannot lawfully be listed on AladdinStores cannot be made permissible by advertising it.

Sellers must not use marketplace advertising to promote prohibited products or services.

AladdinStores may remove advertisements and related listings.

50. Social Media and External Promotion

Sellers and Partners must not use AladdinStores branding, store links, Referral Codes or marketplace content to promote prohibited products or services.

A seller may promote lawful AladdinStores products through appropriate external channels, but external promotion does not override this Policy.
